Let me start off this long delayed post with an apology. The Nostalgia Family and I have been going through difficulties and challenges that have been pulling our time and energy in a thousand different directions. The added stress and accompanying anxieties have left me with little to no energy left for my personal passions for some time now. When you find joy in gaming and nerd culture but struggle to find enough energy to even stay awake when you find a spot to sit down, it begins a vicious cycle that leaves your batteries drained and no real way to put any charge back into them. That being said, I finally found the time and energy to pick up the controller again and pay a visit to an old Gameboy Advanced title that has never failed to perk my spirits back up. I've spent the last week replaying Pokémon Ruby...and the spark was finally reignited. As I watched the HP bar of the the Pokémon champion hit zero all I could think about was what game I could play next. So...in other words... I'm back baby!!

I'm looking forward to charging headlong into my extensive backlog of games again and sharing my adventures with you again. My next challenge might take a bit to finish, but Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered has been sitting on my PS5's launch screen for far too long without progress. So, with excitement that I haven't felt in many months, I'm journeying back into Tamriel to handle the Oblivion Crysis once and for all! On top of this adventure in my virtual world, my journey with my faith has also continued. Now, on the eve of Holy Week, the Nostalgia Family is making its final preparations for our baptism and confirmation at our local parish. But, my discussions concerning that journey will be moving to a new venue. RictusNostalgia will be launching a YouTube channel for vloging and general discussions on faith in today's world. I'm very excited to see where that new venture takes me!

So, we have some new fun on the horizon and a more positive outlook on life than we've had in quite a while. Thank you all for sticking with us through this downtime. It means more than I can possibly say that people are still finding their way to RictusNostalgia and are still enjoying the reviews and conversations we've I've shared. From my family to all of you, God bless you all and let's get ready for ROUND 2! GAME ON!!!
